The holiday season is fast approaching, and maybe you need a few ideas to freshen up your decor this year. The box of decorations you keep under the stairs all year just doesn't have the same luster as it did in years past.
If you want to liven up your holiday flair this year, a homemade snow globe can do just that. You may already have a few snow globes around the house, but once you learn how easy it is to make your own snow globe, you'll be hooked.
What You Will Need
Making your own snow globe only requires a few items, most of which you may already have around the house.
Making Your Snow Globe
First, use the hot glue to adhere your object to the inside of lid and allow it to dry.
Next, peel the shells from your hard-boiled eggs. The shells will have a thin opaque skin on the inside. This skin needs to be carefully removed with tweezers otherwise it will float in your snow globe. Crush the shells and place them in the jar.
After you have placed your "snowflakes" in the jar, fill the jar with mineral oil. Leave room at the top, since your object will displace the oil.
Apply the silicone sealant around the threads of the lid. Screw the lid on tightly and allow it to dry.
